The University of Michigan offers a two-week training course in the use of fMRI that includes instruction on the motivation for using fMRI, the physics that underlies the technique, the design of experiments, the acquisition of data, the analysis of those data, and the interpretation of brain activations that result. The course is open to faculty, postdocs, and graduate students and funding is available for travel and living expenses.
